Grammy Review

I only watched the preformances by Paul McCartne, Neil Diamond, and Plant and Krause. Everything else was just drival. Robert Plant and Allison Krause had the best comercial album last year with Rasing Sand and should be a shoe-in for album of the year. None of the other nomminees are even worthie of hocking a loogie in their direction.

It was great to see the Krause/Plant album win. This was one of the best albums that came out last year (thanks for turning me on to it!). I thought the Radiohead performance was really good too. And of course, I thought U2 were great. Can't wait for that album. I didn't see the whole show, but the British chick was who one something (?) was pretty good too. All in all, a pretty typical Grammy show: A big commercial yukfest with some shreds of credibilty dangling on the fringe...

Normaly I would agree with you on Radiohead but I just did'nt care for "In Rainbows". I missed U2. Yea I dig Adele, and Duffy. They seem to be the competing record companys answer to Amy Wine House. And you know the record companys, if they find a gimmick they are gonna runwith it. Hence the abundance of retro soul sounding British chick singers that poped up last year. With Herby Hancock winning last year and Plant and Krause this year, the Acadamy may be trying to get back some of the credabilaty after so many years of Kanye type fiascos.
