Who Won? Who Knows?

If you would have told me this past November John McCain in all likely hood was going to be the nominee for the republicans I would have laughed in your face. Of course he didn’t do to well in the south. And like I have said before you are not allowed to be President unless we in the south say so.

The picture is not so clear on the democratic side. Obama had a decent showing among cracker men, (aka honkies, aka “the man”) especially in the south. If it wasn’t for the Latino vote the night would have been a disaster for Clinton. I have not seen a truly accurate delegate count, but it looks like the difference is going to be about 150 to 200 in Hillary’s favor. Not a lot coming out of Super Tuesday, and nothing Obama cant over come.

No Soup For You Tuesday

Tomorrow is the Super Bowl for political junkies. I’m still not convinced we will know whom the nominees are going to be come Wednesday morning. But it’s going to be fun watching the talking heads in the media cream their pants trying to figure out whom the frontrunner will be.

According to a friend of mine who keeps up with the polls more than I do California is totally up in the air. This is not surprising of course. This is the biggest of battle ground states. http://www.usaelectionpolls.com/2008/california.html

According to some polls I have looked at Clinton and Obama are in a statistical dead heat. And on the Republican side Romney has a slight edge. In both cases it looks like it will come down to the undecided voters.

I still remain hopeful that we will be swallowed up by a black hole between now and November, so that we may be spared the indignity of having to choose between two idiots who want control of our great nuclear arsenal.

OK here's what happend..........

I think what happened in New Hampshire was a combination of two things. The first thing is, Madam Clinton's staged crying outburst had some affect on New Hampshire's women folk. Second, the people of New Hampshire got tired of every news organization telling them who they were going to vote for. New Hampshireites have always had a long history of delusional thinking, by telling themselves that they are politically important. The reality is of course.....they're not. There importance is manufactured by the date they hold the primary. They are first. So yes every chump with presidential aspirations will be seen shaking hands with every person at every diner in the state.

The real primaries will start in my state of South Carolina and the Union strong hold of Michigan. I also don't by this crap that the nominees of both parties will not be decided until the conventions. This is just wishful thinking by the media.

I think both parties will see a clear front runner by the time Super Tuesday rolls around. But that does not mean that the "also rans" will give up, especially on the Republican side. It's still realistically a 5 way race there. For the Dems it looks like a two way race between Clinton and Obama.

Right now the only prediction I can make is that Edwards will throw his support toward Obama when he runs out of money, which should be just after the South Carolina fight.

I'm hoping that my partner in political philosophy Jeff and my self can make it to a number of candidate speaking engagements during the run up to the SC primary. If so, we will give you full reports.

Let the games begin
Ma halo.
